Saloni-

Saloni is basically green peas, boiled potatoes and green chutney ghughari. It is most demanding dish during winter as tender peas starts to come in market .It is almost loved by everyone in North Indian family. It is served as breakfast and some time it is served with paratha in dinner or luch… 🙂  I can say only it is simply yummy yummy……..

Serves– 2 to 3 person

Ingredients

  1. Green peas- 500 gm
  2. Boiled potatoes- 2
  3. coriander leaves- 1/2 bunch
  4. Ginger – 1 piece
  5. Garlic- 9 -10 cloves
  6. salt as per taste
  7. Green chilli- 2
  8. Mustard oil – 2 tbsp.
  9. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
METHOD-
1.Boil the potato and cut into dices and peel the green peas and keep all aside. Now make the green chutney having coriander leaves , ginger, garlic and chilli.

2.Now heat the mustard oil and add cumin seeds and then put the green chutney paste in the oil.

3. Saute the paste till it starts to leave the oil from the side and then throw the boiled potatoes and mix with the green chutney.

4. After 5 min throw the green peas into the paste and mix all the things properly and add salt and cover it with lid and cook it till it becomes cooked.
