Methi ka thepla

Methi ka thepla  comes from gujrati cuisine which is served as breakfast in the family.It is very similar to spiced paratha which is made up of whole wheat flour and gram flour and fengrueek leaves and some spices.

Thepla is loved by everyone and it can be store for few days. If someone is going for tour thepla is best option to give for travel food and it also runs for long, only the one thing have to do thepla should be cooked just like khakhra…. :).This is the best way to add greens to our diet and kids also love to it …a very funny story comes from this thepla ..:) my son love to watch Tarak Mehta ka ooltah chasmah  and in that Daya ben always says tappu k papa aapka nasta garma garam chai n thepla ,so that he became very familiar with the thepla n became demanding for thepla …. 🙂 lets begin to make methi ka thepla step  by step…..

Preparation Time– 10  min

cook time– 10 to 15 min

Total time in making– 20 to 35 min

Serves– 3 to 4 person

Cooking difficulty– easy

Cuisine– Gujrati

Ingredients

  1. Fresh methi leaves- 1 cup
  2. Whole wheat flour- 1 cup
  3. Gram flour- 1/2 cup
  4. Ginger-Garlic paste- 1 tsp
  5. Garam masala- 1 n 1/2 tsp
  6. Dhaniya powder- 1 tsp
  7. White til- 1 tsp
  8. Red chilli- 1tsp
  9. Green chilli- 2 or 3
  10. Oil for moyan
  11. Salt as required

METHOD

1.Wash the fresh mint leaves and chop it and then make the paste of ginger garlic and green chilli.

2. Now add all above given ingredients to flour mixture.

3. Knead the dough by adding water slowly slowly.

4. Roll it like thin chapatti and cook it by applying oil and and you can make it crispy as per your wish.

5. Serve it with pickle and dahi.
