Ingredients-
- Whole wheat flour- 1 cup
- Besan- 1 tsp
- Ghee-1/2 cup
- Sugar-less than 1/2 cup
- Dry fruits as required (optional)
METHOD-
1. Take the kadahi and put the ghee and heat it. Now add besan and roast it till it started leaving its smell…make sure besan should not burn..so raost it on low flame and keep stiring.
2. Add wheat flour and saute it till it becomes light brown and it starts giving the aroma of roasted flour.
3. Now add little water and mix it well…don’t add too much water otherwise it will become lapssi.
4. It will absorb all water ….keep stiring hence the lumps will not form otherwise the lumps can form which does not give the gud taste and texture to halwa. Now add sugar and mix it properly …all the sugar granules will dissolve coz of heat and nice colour to it.
5. If you wish you can add little bit sugar which give nice crunchiness to your mouth. Switch off the flame and garnish with your desired dry fruits and serve it hot.
