Methi Matar Malai-
Methi matar malai is very delicious and flavourful recipe. It is basically Punjabi North Indian dish. We often used to make paneer recipe when ever it is something special occasion but I suggest u must try this recipe once and I am very much sure that will make this recipe again and again..:)
It is very rich creamy gravy dish which goes best with naan and rice. It is combination of cashew nut and heavy cream and onion paste including some spices with methi leaves and green peas. In fact before some years ago it is not familiar recipe to every one while it is very aromatic recipe . Sometime ppl think how could it be so tasty dish with methi leaves so why should not try this interesting recipe of methi . Lets start to play with methi in our kitchen this season….:) 🙂

Serves– 3 to 4 person

Ingredients–
- Fresh methi leaves- 2 cups
- Green peas- 1 and half cup
- Fresh heavy cream/ Malai- 1 full bowl
- Onion – 2 medium sized
- Ginger- garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Cashew nut- 1/2 cup
- Black pepper- 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1 /2 tsp
- Sugar as required
- Green chilli
- Salt as per taste
- Rinse the methi leaves and chop them finely.
- Now take the onion, cashew nut, green chilli in mixer jar and grind it well.
- Take the pan and pour the ghee or oil and heat it.
- Add black pepper and ground paste in ghee and stir it continuously.
- When it starts to leave ghee around the pan add some water.
- Now add methi leaves ,boiled green peas and full cream .
- Add salt and sugar, garam masala and cook it for 10 min.
- Now it is ready to serve.
NOTE- Always try to get fresh and tender methi leaves for this recipe which enhances its taste.
